United Kingdom 2013 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Firenze Red

I was getting very tempted to head up to the Lakes tomorrow for 2 nights staying at the Royal at Dockray (great direct rate) until I checked the wind speed on that web site over the Lakes for next 48 hours. Not a chance to get high in that so will look this time next week to see if its on. I used to love going to Scotland in Winter but its just too expensive in fuel these days for a short break on your own. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

Robbed

Well up early as Mrs Yorky has sequestrated the Rover, knocked off the snow and warmed it up for her as she left her 2wd bubble tucked up warm in our garage (it is as boiler in there). Worth getting up to get a rare sighting of a Barn Owl.

May use her car later and it will be fine as its on Winter tyres but you can't get in the way of a woman going to work now can you. Whistle

Showing -5 on the FL2 and kicked slightly on starting after heater plugs worked and glad I got that new battery in October, by Monday it will be shorts weather no doubt. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

I’m certainly not looking out the shorts just yet - the longest forecast I’ve seen shows no let-up out to mid-March!

I started off my lettuce and spinach seeds in the propogator a week ago to plant out (under plastic) in early March, but there is no way the ground will even have thawed out for them! 2005 D3 2.7 Auto

Dropped to -11 here overnight to. Good opportunity to spot if your glow plug light comes on (mine does), had at least a 3 second delay starting yesterday.

Just heard someone on the radio from a "Motoring Organisation" talking about the snow problems and how the salt has been spread but needs some traffic on it to spread it and thereby raise the temperature. Don't these people realise that adding salt actually causes the surface temperature to fall? The important bit is that the freezing point is lower too so it melts. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

Just had a light covering of snow and an oil tanker delivery arrived from Yeovil. The driver said that there was hardly any snow about and couldn't understand what the fuss is all about. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto
