Have you read the very long topic in maintenance and mods about egr blanking? Seems there is 2 camps on the subject ( for and against) with both sides saying yes you can/no you can`t do a DPF fitted vehicle. Might be worth a read! No personal experience with mine although I did blank my EGR on a previous Freelander 1 but did not really notice any different. I was shocked however with how badly the inlet manifold was clogged with horrible black gunge to the point that the inlets ports were a fraction of their original size. Took ages to get clean! Big Cry

Please keep us updated with how you get on in the longer term. I`m sure a few people would be very interested in whether you had any issues after you`ve done a few more miles. Thumbs Up

England 2010 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Auto Santorini Black

so the freelander has been in the garage today, turns out it does need a new EGR valve. The price of the part isnt to bad but due to location the labour cost is pretty high.

guess it needs to be done, car has been sat for a month now.

will blank the egr once i get it back, will keep everyone updated if it causes any issues. 2010 HSE SD4 in Santorini black
