Probably because this is a car forum and not an aeronautical one! I wouldn’t mind a Breitling Emergency if I was crossing the desert but not needed on my daily run up the A13. Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto Evoque SD4 Dynamic Lux Auto Present: Audi A3 S Line. |

Here’s my present collection (lacking a luxury brand which would be rectified with a Tag).

Called in at Ernest Jones to look at the Tag and I loved the watch with the metal strap but really could not take to the one with the nylon strap. Still time to mull it over while I wait for the long drawn out vetting process to go through

Indeed. Be interesting to find out where I could get it altered and how much I’d be charged being as I’d not bought it from

You’d pay between £10-£20 to have some links removed by any watchmaker/jeweller. Make sure you keep the links. Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

Good to know. I’ll look at insurance too. Ernest Jones quoted £75 for 2 years which covers accidental damage, theft and loss. LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

Glad I logged in to the My Extra's account that we get as staff. Ernest Jones give a 17% discount! That brings the watch down by £170 to £830 and of course includes all the adjustments so works out cheaper than the website you posted a link to. Won't hesitate on insurance either! Not committing until the contract has landed and been signed as I don't want to jinx anything but that should (touch wood) be coming through early March so I can give 4 weeks notice before starting the new job mid April.
