England 2012 Freelander 2 eD4 XS Manual Rimini Red

Hi Steve D, why has no one mentioned a proper watch, Breitling! I have one and find it absolutely brilliant, not keen on wearing it when welding or shooting or most things really. Maybe me being a bit picky but I think Rolex is a bit common. Dave

I do like that Speedy Pro. Thumbs Up
Was considering one but plumped for the Speedmaster ‘57 - a modern interpretation of the original Speedmaster first launched in 1957 - as it was a 60th birthday present and I was born in....1957. Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto
Evoque SD4 Dynamic Lux Auto
Present: Audi A3 S Line.

Probably because this is a car forum and not an aeronautical one! I wouldn’t mind a Breitling Emergency if I was crossing the desert but not needed on my daily run up the A13. Mr. Green Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

Here’s my present collection (lacking a luxury brand which would be rectified with a Tag).

Casio G-Shock for when I’m out walking etc. The round Rotary is for work, the 2 square faced Rotary’s are for evenings out or smarter dress occasions. The 2nd of the two was left to me by my dad so I had it altered and wore it for my job interview in December which went well obviously Thumbs Up

The last one is 18 carat gold and valued at approximately £1800. Again left to me by my dad but I’ve not had it altered so I’m just going to keep it safe.

You can get £175 off the watch you want here.
https://www.swisswatchesdirect.co.uk/watch...a_1_(43mm)

For what you are spending, you could probably get a used Seamaster for around that figure.

Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up to the gold Rotary. Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

Called in at Ernest Jones to look at the Tag and I loved the watch with the metal strap but really could not take to the one with the nylon strap. Still time to mull it over while I wait for the long drawn out vetting process to go through Rolling Eyes

Indeed. Be interesting to find out where I could get it altered and how much I’d be charged being as I’d not bought it from
a shop. LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

You’d pay between £10-£20 to have some links removed by any watchmaker/jeweller. Make sure you keep the links. Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

Good to know. I’ll look at insurance too. Ernest Jones quoted £75 for 2 years which covers accidental damage, theft and loss. LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

Glad I logged in to the My Extra's account that we get as staff. Ernest Jones give a 17% discount! Shocked That brings the watch down by £170 to £830 and of course includes all the adjustments so works out cheaper than the website you posted a link to. Won't hesitate on insurance either!

Not committing until the contract has landed and been signed as I don't want to jinx anything but that should (touch wood) be coming through early March so I can give 4 weeks notice before starting the new job mid April. LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby
