Grill defect. Covered by approved used warranty?

I noticed this morning when washing the car that there is discolouration of the trim at the bottom of the grill. The car is under 4 years old, approved used landrover with 2 years warranty. Is this likely to be covered by the warranty do you think?

I have exactly the same on mine, its 5 years old next month and under approved warranty like yours.

As its plastic and not bodywork it wont be covered by any paint or corrosion warranty, so Ive not bothered to ask the dealer. I may get it sprayed myself in gloss black though.

I'm sure a bit of work when it's off and a rattle can would sort it out.

i think having to carry out paint work to rectify defects on s car less than 4 years old is not acceptable. I'll ask the dealer but not expecting any joy! Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

Thing is its not actually paintwork, its discolouration of plastic or plastic peeling. So a bit of grey area IMO that most dealers will wriggle out of.

Can you share your result after discussion with the dealer please, so we can all go hammering on their doors Very Happy

cheers

My grill is the same (less then 4 years old). I doubt they'll consider a claim under the approved used warranty. They've already refused to cover the distorted wheel arch trims, but say they would have done if I'd asked just before the car was 3 years old!

I doubt that it is self coloured plastic, I would think that is clear coated paint. But the damage looks like stone chip damage, I wouldn't hold out a lot of hope for a warranty repair

So to answer my own question, just read page 10 of the approved used warranty, that will be a NO then! Evil or Very Mad
