Gates / Dayco kits etc are going to fine but you need to avoid any Chinese copies so choose a seller that is not in Bongo Bongo land.

As YB says Gates/Dayco kits will be fine but they will all contain an element of Chinese parts notably the tensioner/idler bearings and probably the water pump as well. However no guarantees that a genuine Land Rover Kit won`t contain parts from the far East. A huge number of well known "quality"suppliers now source a large part of their goods from China but don`t really advertise the fact! I wonder why that is! |

Hi guys thanks for your replies. Considering the current Cam belt, tensioners and water pump have lasted 9 years and 121,000 miles I think I'm going to go for LR genuine parts from my local main dealer. So if anything does fail I have someone within touching distance that I can blame. |

Yes, but probably save £100 pounds only to have to source the parts again. So will have the parts from LR fitted by local garage and won't have to worry about it again for the next 10 years will do me. Thanks all for your comments.

Haldex is not a easy job to get at, anyone near Bell Engineering may be best going there. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years
