ATF3309 AUTO FLUID 5LT

Hi all,i have been reading up on the ways of draining and filling of the aisin auto box, which I believe needs ATF3309 fluid.a job I shall be doing when my driveway warms up a bit. Whistle
I see opie oils who I use for my engine oil have is for around £11 ltr minus any discount codes or forum discounts.
I have just found a company on Amazon called SMITH & ALLAN,they have a large website dealing in lubes and fluids for motor and agricultural trades among others, anyone out there heard of or used them?ref the agricultural part have you heard of them "CG"?
the point (at last)is they are offering ATF3309 fluid at £29.34 for 5 ltrs all inclusive Shocked gone

adywicaksono, That Toyota T1-V ref is correct. Not recommended to use that Valvoline item. It is a “universal” ATF. A no no for Aisin boxes.

rnlisg, That Smith & Allan 3309 is also on eBay at the same price. Looks to be the correct T1-V product. 👍

I have only done drain & fill. Working alone, not confident doing flush with engine running.

I am thinking the same for me,dump n fill 3 times.i will get 10ltrs.a friend has a garage close by and I know he has a device for sucking oil from overfilled sumps,I wonder if it could work on an auto box?i will pop round and ask him.
I have watched the video from our Russian member,it looks like he did one fill approx 4ltrs,but it does give a good visual idea of the process,he Has made a tool to remove the drain plug,it looks like a bolt with 2 locking nuts.
His vids are now on the "sticky" section, very good.

I can't vouch for the oil but I can for Smith and Allen I got a drum of Shell oil from them in the past. In fact I've had a few dealings with them and they are a genuine company.

OK this is the reply from Smith n Allan's tech dept.they obviously manufacture their own products, would it be right to assume to be able to produce and market atf3309 there must be a standard formula in place for all company's making it.?
Alex, can you chuck in your valued thought please? Bow down
Bob,what do you reckon,it seems ok to me.

Dear Sandy
It should be noted that we cannot guarantee that the formulation of this fluid is 100% identical to that of the mobil fluid or indeed any other manufacturers such as Fuchs or Petro Canada, as formulations are well guarded and trade secret, so formulations may differ slightly, you may see that the physical characteristics differ slightly. This can be down do slight differences in base fluid composition, different additive suppliers etc etc, so I think it’s unrealistic for a company to claim a fluid as been 100% identical to another manufacturers.
What I can say is that we have sold a lot of this ATF since we launched it in October 2016 and have received favourable feedback with regards to general performance, including previously noisy units and shuddering units.

That was a woolly answer. Does it meet the requirements of Toyota T-1V, or Ford WSS-M2C924-A or not?
