I'm picking up my 14my FL up next weekend (should have been this weekend ) and have been looking at small changes to "improve/ update" it slightly.
I've ordered a set of the newer style black/ chrome wheel centers and gloss black bonnet + tailgate badges but i'm not sure what size the badges are on the grille + tailgate (the oval ones) and also the rear pillars as i'd like to change those to black/ chrome - anyone know the exact sizes?

If you do a search for "Black & Silver" badges you will find quite a lot of
Info on these, not good I'm afraid but solutions to the problems other forum members have encountered and overcome.

oh dear - not sure if i should order the gel overlays or risk the badges which are cheap enough although i guess i need gel overlays for the rear pillars

the new letter badges arrived today - very nice but can't get the car until next weekend

I used the gel overlays on my HSE,and after 2 years they were still good.

Did you stick them over the green badges or remove those parts and stick them direct to the backings?

Are yours the DMB ones? - guess i'll order set of those if the ebay badges are no good

Ive had 3 sets over the years from DMB and they have proven to be excellent. No fading or peeling and they have survived countless jet washes.
The only minus point is that the larger badges for front/rear are slightly smaller than the ones fitted by LR, but only by 1mm or so. Position them carefully and you would have to be up very close to notice.

... or take the green badge off and use the gel overlay one directly to the backing plate or grill. Works well!

I put my gel overlays directly on top of the green badges without any issues.
