I can't quite read the text in your scans, but I think we can safely assume that this is just another Autocar photoshop of how such a thing might look. See, for example, the shut line of the rear door and how it relates to the C pillar and wheelarch - that can't be right. Plus it says Land Rover on the bonnet, not the model name which is now standard for the company. This just looks like a re-hash of old news.

They haven't even bothered to change the backgrounds or the registrations for the red and silver pics. Amateurs!

This mock up first appeared in 2015 so I think it's safe to say that a new Freelander is not on the horizon. JLR will of course keep the name to avoid another manufacturer taking it on

As long as people are interested in what might be around the corner, magazines like Autocar and AutoExpress will be willing to invent as much of this stuff as the market demands!

LR will have copyrighted the Freelander name anyway so nobody else can use it unless they buy the rights.

Freelander was JLR’s most realible model till date and the best seller for years until the evoque took over sales. Then is was the 2nd best seller until 2015 when it seized production. i heard it via a good friend and forum member who was caravanning on a site with a Disco5 owner who worked at JLR, who told him whilst chatting, (most likely whilst emptying his toilet )

can't see it been anywhere soon, and most likely after we have jumped ship to other brands, so will ahve to be extra special to temp us back and pay JLR prices from out pensions  Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

P38 v8 auto no problems,great howle from exhausts when giving it welly
Td5 auto head gasket,no5 pot not uncommon but good car.

Land Rover have made it public knowledge through their long term product plan that there will be a smaller Evoque and something below the Discosport. Looking forward to seeing them soon. Whether it will be called a Freelander is a different question entirely
