And they would probably have to change the name to "Dearlander" of "Expensivelander" if current pricing is anything to go by. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

not sure where they would shoehorn in a smaller l/r.the "footprint of the disco sport and the ewok must be very close to the freelander, and they deffo do not want to make it smaller, unless they want to move into crossover territory(god forbid) and line it up with the cactus and little Suzuki and Renault cars etc.

Counter argument - if they already have two cars of that Freelander/Disco Sport/Evoke size, why would they want to add a third one? Just to be cheaper with lower levels of equipment and trim? Personally I don't see what's wrong with adding a smaller model, as long as the off-road capability is retained. ---------- Tony S |

We if they don't produce something smart'ish to directly complete with the below their going to be loosing a lot of their current customer base once Freelander stock is finally age diminished.

I suppose Evoque's are cheap abroad with the low value of the pound. We'll have to go back to sourcing them from the continent again & driving left hand models if we want to stay with Land Rover? |

My son came back from Kenya this week to go to a conference for Agronomists. When he first started in this job in 2010 he said that the hotel car park would be full of Freelanders, now it's full of Hilux, L200 etc pickup trucks. Another lost market. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

That's probably due to two things:- 1, you can put more dirty stuff in the back of a pick up. 2, they're probably more reliable. MY13 Santorini Black SD4 HSE |
