Anyone ever had this on their car? Some research on Audi forums suggested blocked drainage in the doors could be at fault or the pollen filter. I had this occur twice in the last couple of months and dried the carpet out by pumping warm air conditioned air into the footwell while the car was sat on the drive (locked).

Faulty door/window seals can also cause wet carpets.

Thanks for the input Until it’s resolved I’ll just keep the carpets as dry as I can! LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

Well I took the car to Audi today and as I drove along I noticed water dripping down from around the switches for the sunroof and interior light. I also noticed wet patches on the roof lining at the top of the pillars on both sides.

Id stick with the courtesy car until yours is fixed. They cant expect you to drive around with a leaking sunroof, damp headlining, water in the overhead electrics etc etc etc. |

Right, the latest update is that there is still no word from the warranty people so it will be Monday before there is any decision. The engineer has confirmed that it is not the glass at fault and it is not down to something hitting the roof for example.

That is good news from Audi and dealer. Audi dealers not generally known for big efforts in the customer care dept.

That is a very good result indeed, although as its not the actual glass at fault (crack or seal) but rather a mechanical component then IMO they should have covered it under warranty.

Looking at your previous posts are you not within the statutory 3 months warranty of a trader sale, therefore irrespective of any other warranty they are liable, or have I missed something, if not you are extremely unlucky as you seem to have missed by just days my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

I got a 12 months Audi approved warranty with the car when I bought it. Beyond that, I’d have had the option of going to the ombudsman if they had refused to wear the cost or exercise my rights under the Consumer Rights Act. Consumer law is one of my areas of expertise but I am relieved that I didn’t have the hassle of having to deploy it. LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby
