He is in for a painful transition. Coming from an iPhone with every app in the world available to Windows Phone which has only a few of the big names, he is going to find it difficult.

Also, any content bought via iTunes will likely not play on his Windows phone. Only songs, movie etc he’s ripped himself will play. If he’s at all invested in the Apple eco system I would recommend selling the Lumia and getting another iPhone. The 7 is great value at the moment. |

Such a shame the windows phone didn't take off with the app writers as it is a great operating system/phone system. The link with MS office packages made it a great business phone as well as personal phone. I'm sure it will be back the windows surface phone in some way. |

I loved my Windows Phones. But it began to get frustrating when time after time developers said they weren't releasing an app for it, or they were no longer supporting the one they had out.
