Common faults are across the range and are listed on this forum in various places. Diffs and Haldex are the most common (covered by warranty anyway) but there are other niggly faults same as any brand. Just spend time browsing the forum for things to look out for.

I agree with all the above, warranty is very good and one reason I stayed with LR. my 14 plate XS was just under £19k last March with 25k miles so your price sounds about right. The car had an unused spare so the dealer put that on the rear and replaced the other rear tyre as part of the deal and serviced it. I shortly afterwards put two new ones on the front. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

I have just requested the service history, they have said it has just been serviced and is full LRSH.

Just picked my first Freelander yesterday. 2014 SD4 GS, Orkney grey, only 17000 miles, Approved used at £18725, and totally indistinguishable from a new car. So far delighted with it. Big change from my Td5 Discovery (which I still have too). Hoping for many happy years motoring with it. Will start a wee thread on it.

Is be cautious about letting anyone add rear seat entertainment as it may add complication to any potential electrical warranty claims in future.
