Wandering Mirror

Afternoon FL-ers

Well having had my Metro a couple of hours short of 5 days I appear to have found a glitch (JLR you gotta love em). As perscribed when reversing the mirrors move to their pre-determined position but upon returning to Drive the Drivers side wanders around before finally coming to rest pointing at the sky. Not a major issue but you do get tired of re-setting it.

Question is: Is this a known issue? and is there any quick fix for this before I take it off to Main Stealer for a warranty visit?

After you have readjusted the mirror you need to reset your memory seat position and store the setting to one of the 3 buttons on the seat. Your mirror should then return to that set position once they move back from the reverse dip position. Thumbs Up

At least you have got a mirror, some Censored in a van whacked mine off down a twisty road last night, naturally did not stop,so have just spent 2 hours on drive cutting a 6lt milk container to shape the corner, lumps of foam as packing, and good old gaffer tape to finish it off, swmbo was well impressed Bow down I said I might whack the other one off as well and we would have a matching pair, Whistle gone

I've had that happen twice now so when on narrow twisty roads I always power fold the mirrors. It helps a bit, but so many numptys don't know the width of their vehicle thinking it's 3 feet wider than it really is.
