Has anyone successfully changed their lamps on Freelander 2 from halogen to bi-xenon by replacing the lamp clusters?

I think the dealer is correct, anyway you need auto levelling for xenons At work

I bought a kit of eBay to replace the low beam bulb. I had to make my own clip to secure the bi-xenon bulb into the lens but otherwise it was quite a simple switch over.

Maybe not in yours because you have the HSE but in the SE its a rolling knob next to the headlight switch. 2007 TD4 SE |

all xenon equipped cars have the auto levelling, which uses sensors on the front and rear suspensions At work

Sorry for the late response but I've been travelling (without xenons). I bought Freelander 2 xenon non-adaptive units with built in ballasts but the connector pins are in a different position to the halogen units. I'm not technical enought to play around so looks as though they'll not get used. If they had worked I would have used the manual levelling. Thanks anyway. Tom |
