Chunky tyre tread. 4WD perhaps? Subaru of some kind? Looks like a section of a canal boat has been welded to the back end. LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

It's a Matra Simca Rancho and not 4x4, the front end is French tin and rusted extremely well, the rear is GRP, some were converted to be caravanettes, all were 3 door. my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

You could be right, the bonnet is very Vauxhaul and it predates the Rancho by ten years if the registration is correct the problem is the twin headlights, if it was based on the Velox they only had single headlights, maybe a Holden ute modified my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

But I bet there was a well used mattress in the back, so the car was priceless! Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!
