P/X value for an 07 SE

Looking to trade in my 07 SE with 124,000 on the clock and I am wondering what I might get offered.
Betty has served us well for 8 years and 100,000 Miles with just the AC compressor replacement as the costliest failure, other than that it has just been servicing and tyres.
But with a year of long trips coming up I think we need to update - looking at Santa Fe from Hyundai. Tattoos - Why would you choose to look like the wall of a public toilet?

I would not recommend 'webuyanycar' ......... as once registered on their database, you can NEVER get off it.

Also I believe that once registered on their site .......... you have without your knowledge, signed up to their 'other' sites.

Be prepared to be bombarded with emails ........ even after 18 mths from registering.

Yes I UnSubcribed several times, it never worked.

I even had to visit their local 'portacabin' office and request they remove my details, which worked ..... for two months, then they bombarded me AGAIN !!!!!

This is only my opinion and experience.

I used this site to get a value for our 07 gs with 69000 miles, was spot on with what the dealer offered.

As sad as it is in today's world, it's hugely naïve to sign up to ANYTHING with your primary email address, particularly a website with something to sell or gain. But WBAC doesn't require a valid email address for a simple valuation - give it stickitupyourarse@ Censored .com and be done with it!

Agree. I always type something like jygfjytfjytfyjtf@jhfjytf.com and give a made up phone number. Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

As it happened I bought her a 'Personal' email address, like the private plate she has on her vehicle, just after this incident.

Both my daughters have their own emails and plates.

I just did mine on that Cap Connect page....... Shocked

according to that the best I could hope for is 13.5k trade in...... im truly shocked considering it was on the LR forecourt for 20.5k 9 months ago and that was on par with every other same spec FL2 at that time

this whole diesel scaremongering seems to have hit the 2nd hand prices very quickly and very very hard !!

government Censored !!!!!!! Banging Head

I found that Autotrader.com would not provide a value for my old car once it went into its 7th year and over 80,000 miles.

I part exchanged it for about £8k to a LR Main Dealer who immediately actioned it. It is now been tidied up and side steps added and is listed for sale at £13k, although it hasn't moved in the last month. We will see if they are a tad optimistic with their price.

I am quite pleased with the deal, as I felt I got a good deal on a fully guaranteed late model FL2, with new service and MOT. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)
FL2 Metropolis SD4 Auto 2014 2017- (16k - 77k+ miles) (MY2015)
Metro in its 11th Year of (Extended) LR Warranty / Full LR Service History
(Expensive, but Trouble/Worry free - hopefully?)

Back in June this year I went with my son to "Cereals 2017" its an agricultural event for professionals. I was walking past a stand offering free breakfasts if they could scan my pass so I took up the offer and very nice it was too. A few days later I had an email saying that I had won 45 woodland trees plus 45 stakes and 45 rabbit protectors in the prize draw and where did I want them delivered !!? I doubt if many people have space in their garden for this lot but luckily my wife's brother is a farmer and I arranged for them to be delivered to him. However sure enough I am now being mailbombed with offers to try out combine harvesters and all sorts of farm gear. Nothing from LandRover of course. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

did you go for the Power Take-off option on your Freelander ?

Once those 45 trees have grown, you will need one of these .

my god that is a huge huge mark up...5k!!! for a car that wouldn't have needed much fettling for the showroom...

proves how much dealers are ripping us off with trade in against forecourt prices, I know they have overheads etc but not 5k worth

My 2011 GS 79k miles FSH was p/x ed for £7.5k back in March to a LR dealer and ended up in a garage in London where it was initially on sale for £9.5k for a couple of months and then dropped to £8.5k when it finally disappeared so I guess it sold for about £8.25k after a bit of haggling. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto
