I did the same a couple of months ago and I have to admit that after over twenty years of Saab ownership it took me quite a while to get used to the pecularities of the Freelander 2.
But as a consolation I can drive the Freelander along the same lanes as I used to go with horses and carriage and beyond.

I am new to the forum and would like to say hello to eveybody.

I have just exchanged my beloved Skoda Yeti for a 2013 Freelander 2 Dynamic in Firenze Red. It has a few extras above the standard spec including panoramic roof, heated front screen and blind spot monitor. The Yeti was a formidable family workhorse and will be sorely missed but I look forward to many years of fun with the Freelander.

I used the forum prior to purchase to assist me in making an informed decision and I appreciate all of the shared knowledge.

Recently bought my Freelander, but getting worried by all the reports I see online about poor reliability 😗

You will see this on all car forums - people asking for help with problems, what you never see is the hundreds more who are not experiencing problems.

Hi, had briefly introduced myself on the UK section but see there's a separate thread for formal intros.
Picked up a 63 plate TD4 HSE this weekend, ironically from a local Mazda dealer, not having been able to source one for a suitable budget, colour, spec etc from a LR dealer. Significant Other approves it, so that's half the battle won I suppose
Come to LR from about 10/12 years of Subaru ownership - an Impreza followed by a Forester - and I'm hoping that the Freelander will give me as much fun and reliability.
Now to find myself a reliable independent garage - anyone here in my neck of the woods?

Hi, picked up a 59 plate GS Td4e today. First experience of a Freelander, but had 20 years in Series III/90/110/Defender and a spell with an old 2-door Range Rover (back in the days of vacuum diff switches!) so no stranger to the marque. Just saying “hi” for now but will be back with questions in due course!

New on here just joined today , can anybody give me some advice , I own a Freelander 2 gs td4 2007 30,000 on clock ,
could I put a set of leather electric seats in it the seats at present are none electric although there seems to be wiring with relays under the 2 front seats would I have to change part of the console and get the part with the heat control ,
