Bluetooth for phone.

I have been trying unsuccessfully to connect my Samsung S6 to the bluetooth setup on my 2007 freelander SE, the car finds the phone ok & says to put a code into the phone but it just keeps saying pairing failed ???

I have cleared all phones from the cars memory & also put the phone into safe mode as well but still can't get it to work.

Any ideas anyone as fed up trying to get this to work.

You may have to shut down the phone and reboot, both my wife with an S6 and also my S4 sometimes needs to have the battery removed before it will pair, they both can lose pairing my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

with yours being a 2007 FL2 it may be the car Bluetooth module is not compatible with the newer phones and may need a software update.

I've got a 2008 HSE, and it pairs fine with a new Note 8 Steve

I have 2013MY and until recently used Samsung Ativ S (windows phone) which paired up when it felt like it
Recently replaced it with a Samsung S6 Edge (Android) and it pairs every time without any problems
May just be a'phone compatability problem No Longer the owner of a 2013MY Fuji White GS

Perhaps I should have said, unable to communicate rather than lose pairing, the reboot restores the pairing. my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

Phone appears to be sealed & there is no obvious access to get it apart so removing the battery looks impossible & I don't want to mess the phone up trying to take it to bits.

My phone is S6 android as well, the car finds it & even says to put the given code into the phone for pairing but alas when I do it it just keeps saying pairing failed.

Maybe Cambo can help, see here: http://www.freel2.com/forum/post315056.html#315056

Later in that same thread someone named lake writes he also had issues connecting his S6 with Bluetooth in his MY07 FL2. He solved the issues by replacing the Bluetooth module with a later model.
