I'm not sure what the point of this was (apart from a bit of free-ish advertising) but you may find it entertaining.

Probably quite a lot, the main cause of fires on road trains is tyres over heating, put that out no big bang my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis 2012 HSE SD4 In Orkney Grey now gone, best car ever. |

I went to view an XF, with a friend that was looking to buy it, at a Jaguar dealership yesterday. A brand new D5 was parked outside and as the salesman walked buy it, he said “it’s one of the new Discoveries, have you see how ugly they are, especially from the back?”. His words, not mine! |

Ugly or not it’s a mighty fine vehicle, LR are letting it down by not getting to grips with the quality issues.

The STARTECH is a brave attempt, but it’s still wrong. Sadly, I don’t think that the rear end is fixable by the after-market people. |

Indeed. Had I quick look at the "2017 What Car? Reliability Survey" . Landrover came near bottom 31 out of 32 manufacturers (for 0-3 yrs old vehicles) - which is frankly very embarrassing for an UK export car. (Maybe we export so many to china because their own cars are even worse ??) Out of the large SUV section the Freelander was by far the most reliable Landrover, (way above the Evoque even). All the other LR models coming 5 out of the bottom 6. Landrover would mostly likely have been bottom if it was not for their best vehicle - the Freelander 2 ! Jules |
