I am unable to understand how to insert new topic hence replying on this post. Apologies if it causes inconvenience.

I have got Freelander 2 SD4. Message came up on the dashboard few days ago, Gearbox Fault Traction Control Reduced. I was wondering if anybody could help me understand what could be the size of the problem. I prefer not to go to the dealer as my experience with them has been truly unpleasant so far.

When I got the same message, it was a failure of the Haldex oil pump. Luckily it was still under warranty. Phew.

Shout out for a recommendation for a local Indy near you and get the any fault codes read. A good starting point. Updated- Waiting for a Scotland v England 6 Nations home win. 24th Feb 2018

As mcsimmo said - I had the same message a few weeks after getting mine and it was confirmed as Haldex Pump - again glad it was bought as approved LR used with the warranty.
