United Kingdom 2009 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Auto Zermatt Silver

After sulking for the last few days because I can't get onto the river to fish to fly fish due to rainfall ( the Wharfe is said to be the fastest rising spate river in Europe ) I decided to go clay shooting . I took the Freelander as I didn't want to empty the Scooby boot which is full of my fly gear so I can " scramble " when I see a falling trend on the EA river gauge.

I had quite an enjoyable afternoon , on my own , I virtually had the shooting ground to myself , and it's all nicely set up with fully automatic traps capable of throwing singles or pairs and equipped with delays so solo shooters can " self button " : Thumbs Up 60 clays then a coffee and a pork pie , then back out for another 50. I was going downhill rapidly on the last 20 so I called it a day . Still, better than an afternoon with Judge Rinder Whistle

It's not often that I drive the Freelander these days, and as I came back over the grouse moors into "Bronte Country " I was pleased to be in the nice high command driving position taking in the fabulous views . All in all once I'd toned my driving down to suit the suspension Rolling with laughter I had a very pleasant drive back . 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership

Spent the day underneath trying to fix the Censored again. Now at the point when I learn something new something old is lost out the other side !
Now retired so it doesn't matter anymore.
Freelander now gone.

England 2013 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Lux Auto Santorini Black

Dropped into Stratstone Doncaster to get the 3rd and final bit of warranty bits done, having had door seals and locks replaced 2 weeks ago today was to replace the wheel arch trims

booked in for 10:00hrs - 11:00hrs, turned up 09:45hrs and was back out 10:30hrs all done.

After all my Evoque woes that they dealt with brilliantly, and level of service on this, I really cant fault them at all.... shall be sticking with them for any dealer work and will probably go back to them when its time to replace the FL2

Got chauffeured I'm my FL2...100 miles in the passenger seat while my son drove which is by far and away the furthest I've ever been in my own car without driving myself.

Wow what a relaxing pleasurable drive that was! Smooth comfortable quiet..... even better than being in the drivers seat.

And my son is severely torn between a 2013》 FL2 or an Audi S3 sportback... chalk and cheese Laughing

Flyfisher, how did you get on with fitting Garmin? I gave been considering this.

what did you do with original screen? I understand removing this stops front and rear sensors working Andy

It was pretty simple tbh Andy. I opened up the Garmin to solder a couple of wires into it for the new on/off button.
Mine is a GS so just had the cubby hole.

Drove it across the road to my spanner man for glow plug/heater replacement,
fault has been showing for a couple of weeks now, so time to get it ready for the colder weather,
battery probably next,
