one of LR's attractions used to be slow depreciation so come sale time the used value was quite a lot higher than the Asian or European equivalents.

and if you really work out do you need a heavy duty 4WD the choice is more amazing in the crossover bracket with the latest Peugeot 3008 getting a good review

personally I don't like any French car and the look of the new Tiguan just isn't floating my boat much.

I did have a KIA Sportage KX3 on PCP a couple of years ago but spent the whole duration (3 years) worried about people denting it in car parks and adding too much mileage to it so the experience was spoilt for me. I appreciate that was me being paranoid but I don't feel that way with my Freelander, I'm happy to put on the miles and although I am careful where I park, if it did get a ding it would only be annoying (if that makes sense) |

Just put Tiguan back in and got Freelander out as with a neck/back problem I found the comfort wasn't a patch on Freelander also tested the 3008 and terrible driving position IMO.

Scotland with the weather up here will always be Land Rover country. We had some much rain and thunder storms yesterday even though it was 18 degrees. MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior

Yep, I will stick with my Freelander for a few years yet, next upgrade will probably be a Discovery Sport of around 5 years old by which time hopefully the price will in a budget I can afford/justify |

I looked at the Tiguan when I was changing from my D3. Its didn't float my boat to be honest. It was solid enough, well built, but my god was it bland and lifeless to drive. I also found the seats uncomfortable. Updated- Waiting for a Scotland v England 6 Nations home win. 24th Feb 2018

I recently traded in my 2008 Freelander2 HSE for a 63 plate VW TiguanTech Match 177ps 2.0tdi 4Motion with the DSG box.It has a panoramic roof and heated seats as extras.Although it's not as comfortable as the Freelander,it handles extremely well and having the 177ps engine,it goes well too.At the moment, the Tiguan suits my needs, but time will tell. |

Eddie how do find the DSG box as where I live (very steep hills) it was screaming when going down the hills? If it wasn't so bad it'd be funny.

I also live in a very hilly area, and found the DSG box to be very smooth, with no problems at all. |
