Also if you have a warranty, it doesn't cover the clutch which is seen as a wear and tear item and can cost about £1k. Another reason I decided to go auto. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

Hi mate.Ano so i hear...thats something to look forward too lol I read under your profile your list of previous models of the car's you've owned, and the problems you've had with them. In your opinion, would say the problems have been rectified throughout the years and models?i.e the gearbox and the model in general? Why do you like them over other similar 4x4's? Cheers bud |

Mine was the Pure spec (entry) but 1st owner had added the 20'' Dynamic wheels I loved the car and would have another, but it turned out the one I had bought from LR had been in an accident down the nearside and been badly repaired which the LR dealer had failed to pick up on. In 5 months of ownership it had new transfer box, new gearbox, new seals, new trim and then due to the box failures the clutch/flywheel needed replacing but warranty wouldn't cover the cost and LR wanted £1600 !! So after much arguing and trying to get back into an Evoque I was forced to go 'back' to a FL2. No bad thing but not what I really wanted. Ill probably see out my 2 year warranty on this and look to get another Evoque. |

My son and I have had 5 between us, he is an agronomist and uses cars daily driving around farms inspecting crops. He thought that it was a great car but not tough enough for regular off road use and eventually moved to a Mitsubishi L200 pickup which did the job better (low range and diff lock), was a lot cheaper and actually very comfortable and well specified. He now works in Kenya and drives a Toyota Hilux. Two of our FL2s had gearbox problem where it wouldn't stay in 5th, we got rid of one and the other was fixed under warranty (sent to a specialist for rebuild) by LR. Overall I have had good service from LR but I wouldn't own one of their cars without a LR backed warranty. As to why I keep buying them, I recently looked at the opposition and almost bought a Hyundai Tucson but most cars in this class look identical (even the DS sport). This will be my last one but no idea where to go from here. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto 5 x FL2 4 manual + 1 auto Now Discovery Sport P250 MHEV SE |

Evoque is soo cramped even the 5 door feels smaller inside than a FL1 5 door. The FL2 just kills it size wise!

Yes definitely all my problems with the Evoque were down to the accident damage. On further inspection there were further problems... bad paintwork with drips and bubbles, misaligned passenger door, damaged inside edge of front alloy,
