10 year service confusion on i6 FL2

Hi, I spoke to AJS 4x4 today re the 10 year service on my recently purchased i6. They said they could do all of it bar the auto transmission fluid change. As the i6 is so few and far between they don't have the tools to be able to flush it out. I've then spoken to a couple of other garages inc Bell Engineering who were also unable to assist with this. Excuse my ignorance but what differs between the auto box in the petrol vs the diesel? And does anyone know a garage who could assist with the flush and fluid change, preferably in the South East? I will more than likely book in to AJS for the majority of the service still.

Thanks

Phil

I believe there is a lot of similarity with certain Volvo models. Why not try a Volvo independent?

Other than connecting to a dealer level diagnostics to check temperature, there doesn't seem to be any mention of special tools on Topix

* I've added a pdf of the procedure in my gallery

Looking at the pdf it seems to be the same process as with the TD4 auto box. If so, that is only a partial ATF change. The box holds 7 litres. A drain as per the pdf will change about 3 litres only. If so, the operation needs to be carried out at least 3 times, preferably 4, to maximise dilution of the original ATF.

Thanks all. I've managed to track down an automatic gearbox specialist nearby so have booked in for it to be done. Have also booked in with AJS for the rest of the service so will see if I can find out more when I'm there about the difference.
