my 2011 done this and it went in to LR ....it turned out to be a wire connection in or around the steering wheel .... 2011 SD4 XS |

There is also a switch linked to the brake which may also need checking - in other vehicles that I have had this switch is prone to faults causing the CC not to activate.

Had the same problems a few years ago turned out to be brake pedal switch.
