Wooops - near thing Best always leave it in gear as well as the handbrake on 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.

thing is i always leave my handbrake and engine in gear, for some reason, waving at my accountant, i didn't this time.

i always park in gear, from when i was taught, i don't think they do that anymore. But i have noticed a number of reports of some cars with self releasing handbrakes, so see no reason to change the habit. |

In San Francisco don't they have a law that obligates all drivers to turn their steering wheels towards the kurb when parked? Should stop most cars from running away. |

I had a 55 reg Renault Espace that had an electric hand brake (similar to a Disco 3) but it also turned it's self on when you pressed the engine stop button-which was really useful, the problem being if I drove my old FL1 I would often turn engine off and jump out only to see it roll off into the bushes
