Thanks for the quick reply. Is there anyway to cancel this warning light? Some say it will only light up when using the drive train functions . |

I believe they need to be informed of the modification. I'm sure it'll bump up the insurance, but it's more like a down-grade other than a super hi spec upgrade. |

better safe than sorry as a slick assessor (that means asshole) would void your insurance if you were not the guilty party in a large claim. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

Yorky Bob, why do you consider an insurance assessor who does their job correctly to be an asshole?

I don't decry that person with genuine skill and especially as my cars do not deviate from spec.

I totally agree about your comments regarding the insurance industry, they rely on people auto renewing their policies year in year out, I used to be one of those people. Now though I check the usual comparison sites then go back to my insurers and ask them to match which they invariably do. The question that needs to be answered is why are we not getting the lower price as a matter of course. Very few industries these days reward loyalty and that is appalling as is the fact that those of us that are honest and drive safely have to subside the payments to those who fabricate injuries just to make a few quid. Time for an overhaul of the insurance industry as a whole I think
