It's a known problem and Land Rover had emitted a SSM for this.

Thanks for this - what is a "SSM"? The kit is just £43 on brit part - and your SSM below lists 0.6 hrs? Is that labour time do you think? |

The Anti Squeak Grease (LR029042) is quite pricey!

Being in the area of turbo and exhaust manifold, it's a special grease that can withstand high temperatures. |

Just had the turbo replaced under LR warranty following several instances of Reduced Engine Performance. Dealer said that the problem was indeed the turbo actuator arm but LR no longer make the repair kit available so they had to replace the whole turbo. Thank goodness it was under warranty. Bryan |

There seems to be a series of failures of either turbos or the EGR valve system with MY13 vehicles around 50K. Mine has had to have a EGR unit but it was a year out of warranty.

Thanks for replying Bob, I've got assistance also and they have given me a hire car for 48hours. However, I can't understand why they want to give me my vehicle back when they have acknowledged the fault occurred for them once. They've claimed that the warranty company won't cover if it has not catastrophically failed. Having occurred 3 times in the last week and once for them I think it's pretty save to say I'm going to get stranded on the motorway straight away.
