Have just had the inlet manifold off to remove the swirl flaps on my 2010 Freelander 2. The car runs perfectly but is rough when starting, almost like it’s only running on a couple of cylinders for a few seconds. It wasn’t like this before at all hence I don’t think it’s the glowplugs (but tell me if you think otherwise). Any ideas suggestions?

Id still start with the glow plugs - just in case.

Are you able to check for DTC codes? There are several relating to the glow plug system (Page 1124 in downloadable workhsop manual)

And also the glow themselves - check if circuit open or closed (page 3014) Jules
