I understand that most Land Rovers will completely shut down if left standing for a long time (I believe that four weeks is the length of time), this is to prevent a total drain on the battery. The only way to wake up the system is to use the key in the door lock, all being well this should wake up the system and everything should be OK.

Doesn't the second push also activate the volumetric alarm also? which fits with the second push operating the deadlocks.

I often have to leave mine for long periods of time - say eight to ten weeks. Fortunately it is in a locked garage so I disconnect the negative side of the battery, remove the starter motor fuse and put it in the socket for the heated screen ( which I havn't got ) and then have to leave it unlocked with a steering wheel lock on. Can't leave a trickle charger on as there is no electricity. 2007 FL2 SE Diesel Auto

I thought of the panal / panel but its less likely to self ignite with the battery disconnected. Good thinking though chaps. 2007 FL2 SE Diesel Auto

My ex wife has one of those too, but to date all it has achieved is me losing my fear of heights, who says acupuncture doesn't work ! Don't leave the dummies lying around though i would hate for Finn to hurt himself or worse transfer some on the pins to Mummy's doll of daddy ![]() Safety first.......when my daughter was younger I left her playing with a jigsaw one day and was horrified when i returned and she had managed to plug it in and cut off one of her fingers ![]() ![]() |
