In the past I always found the Wranglers to be good. Although some complain of them getting noisy when worn. I do have a second set of wheels for winter, but with the increasingly mild weather we are experiencing they seem superfluous. For my next replacements I am considering one of the "All Season" types which seem to get good reports. They can be partly paid for by selling my winter set! 10MY (Sept 09) TD4 HSE Auto in Stornoway Grey (Now Gone)

As above, check spare is correct size, then buy three new Wranglers. If you have a matching spare wheel, just swap it for the least worn of the existing ones. If you have the steel spare, you'll need to swap the tyre over - I'd suggest buying a matching wheel and swapping the tyre onto that. Note that sometimes the steel spare was supplied with a different size tyre, even if the diameter (17") was the same. Ex AA Series III LWB Safari - Gone

I could of gone down that route of just buying 3 tyres and using the spare but I didn't due to I wasn't happy with the wet grip of the factory fitted continentals tyres. Went for the Avon zx7 far better, and a good price. MY13 HSE LUX Aintree Green

I got 44K out of my Wranglers so have gone for the same again even though they got a little noisy at the end. I put that down to having to use the new spare at 25K due to a puncture. Went quiet again with 4 new ones on. 12MY 61plate FL2 TD4 auto GS Orkney Grey Roof spoiler full size spare

Had a set of Goodyear Wranglers on another rig and had no problems. Their traction on and off the road is really good. |
