Having had a Hyundai i30 for a number of years now, and a Kia Rio before that, I've long had a respect for the Korean companies more recent vehicles.

Portal hubs. Hmm. Now an FL2 with portal hubs and slightly lowered overall gearing (via the hubs) would be quite something...

You hit the nail on the head... For the reasons I set out above, the JLR designers didn't have a clue why these insults to automotive design heritage could sell so well...

And they wanted to jump on the bandwagon

They started to produce one of their own, but then a hideous monstrosity for crazy money as well ; when you're at it, go to all ends,,

They forgot it could also backlash at them... Take the standard alloys of the base spec DS ; they're plain UGLY...

Knowing that this kind of kit is costed by the kilo's of material with a percentage of engineering on top, why not something exquisit...

Well, clearly, it would spoil the "horrid" design concept..

I rest my case..
