Break Clunking/Clicking when Low Speed Turning

Whenever the breaks are applied whilst turning there is clunk/click.

Land Rover have fixed this a few times and claim they lubricated the caliper assembly on the front wheels.
Sounded odd to me. The also claimed the grease was being removed via jetwasher when cleaning - I don't own one!

Essentially, I'm tired of going back to LR but the noise is driving me crazy. I'd like to be able to do this myself.
Any thoughts on what it is they are lubricating?

Philllip, first they are "brakes". It is quite normal to apply the smallest quantity of grease to the back of the brake pads and to the edges where they locate within the calliper. The grease (I use Copperslip anti-seize grease) helps prevent rattles and squeals that can arise with "dry" pads/calipers. I have not encountered your exact symptoms, and cannot explain the cause but it sounds reasonable for your garage to have done this.
Just one thought, the calipers have a single piston and rely on the caliper body to slide so as to apply equal pressure to either side of the brake disc. You could have "sticky" calipers.

Thanks Bob. That's sounds about right - I seem to remember them mentioning they were dry.
