We have had two cars with dpf's doing similar journeys - TDI Golf and Evoque. The Golf used to regen now and then but never noticed anything with the Evoque. Why not just wait and see? If any lights come up, take it for a blast then. Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

Looks like the late models are carboning up to me. I would blast it at some point in a month and use best fuel you can get hold of.

I have SE diesel automatic with DPF (German model all have one), my work is 8 km of city drive each way and so far had no problems with the DPF (almost 2 years now), once a month it goes on the highway.

How can we tell that the DPF is regenerating? |

When I did a Landrover Experience in a FL2 (quite a few years ago now) I asked about this, as their cars only do short journeys. The answer was that they hadn't had problems since they started using premium grade fuel. Maybe this would be a good precaution if you only do short journeys.
