The FL2 DOES display what gear you have selected (well it does on my auto) Now - 2017 BMW X3 M Sport Carbon Black Gone - 2014 BMW X3 M Sport Space Grey, faultless! Gone - 2011 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Bali Blue with xenons Gone - 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Rimini Red with bodykit |

From memory, it should cycle through Trip distance*, range, average fuel consumption*, average speed* or at least it did on my S. * from last reset. |

I should also have added there is also a blank screen, have you tried briefly pushing the button on the end of the indicator stalk, a long press <2 sec resets the trip etc and goes back to a blank screen.

I note a lot of wit, or am I only half right? But the truth is, this is a safety hazard with or without glasses, if one is trying to read the dash info in sunlight, in SA we have lots of that, more than Spain, then the time taken to try & find a readable angle can be the time an animal or human (with or without a vehicle) appears in your path. The flat green/black colour combo is also not a good choice Land Rover or not. The pictures taken at night do not show the true state as seen with the human eye, also having to look at the lower display can be problem as if you drive with both hands on the wheel this is not always visible. LR did slip on the ergonomics here as costs could not have been more to make the display more reflective & give the adjustment a wider range. Perhaps they should have consulted "Posh" sooner. "Other" car: Defender TD5 CSW 90.

I never had issues reading any of the dash info and I wear glasses for distance.

Yes that's normal. When driving during the day, the dash lights are stronger for better visibility. When its dark outside and you turn headlights in, the lights dim to prevent dazzling the driver. |
