And how about the wiring? Did you have to do this entirely by yourself of this has been at least partly pre-wired?

As I said previously, the Air Quality Sensor is a part of the air mix actuators link harness. You can buy the link harness as a separate part. I suggest you get the wiring schematic of the HVAC system and it will become all clear. I ended up not changing the whole harness as it was difficult to gain access to the drivers side air mix actuators so I just removed the single Green wire and pin from the new harness and put it into my existing harness and then extended the 3 wires (Green/red/blue) to the air quality sensors location.
New harness with extra LIN wire for Air Quality Sensor.



Add Green LIN wire with pin to existing LIN Harness/plug.








All is working 100%, Infact it's very affective and I've not once manually switched to recycle since installing. It's quite obvious in its functioning. Just as your nose detects any vehicle fumes, it extinguishes. It's only noticeable in the time it takes for the actuator to switch to recycle.

How is going with the 4x4 information?
I think you will need some hardware to the rear haldex diff?

"4x4i" is up and running on my touchscreen, top left hand corner softkey shortcut or through "Extra Features" menu if you'd rather not have it as a driver configurable shortcut key.
Currently waiting for a team member to provide a software update/file so that 4x4i can be enabled in one step as it requires a CCF enable and a software update. No hardware is required! MY15

The 4x4i needs a lot of custom software to make it work, and this takes time unfortunately.

Getting it up on the touchscreen (with a custom-written CCF) was relatively easy.

New to the forum, and Freelander ownership, but not to JLR products.

I've managed to persuade the CCF out of my new car (13MY XS 2.2d Auto) but it arrived as a very long string.
CCF is normally talked about as being in blocks, so I've realigned it into blocks, but i want to test my theory out with your help if i may.

I think the 4x4 information display is controlled by byte 3 in block 33, does that sound about right? (byte numbered 1 to 7, not 0 to 6)

Short answer is "No" but you may want to explain a bit further as we may be talking about different things.
"Block 3" is vacant in MY13 onwards L359 CCF and from what I can determine is reserved largely for "InControl" telematics functionality.
How have you gathered this information, what diagnostic tool are you using, are we talking specific fields or code?
I can't find my hard copy for 4x4i field so I'll need to refer to my laptop but definitely not "block 3". MY15

Have seen this one for while by really Havn't bothered activating until now.
Select reverse an audible tone is emitted which is adjusted for volume by either using the Intergrated control panel volume knob or steering wheel controls.
There is also a message in the "Driver Information Screen".
Didn't see any other setting adjustment in the touchscreen menu but I've only just activated it.
Will live with it for a couple days and see if it doesn't drive me bonkas....

Just a correction from above as i've been out and had a couple of ignition cycles.
It's not a audible tone but a pleasant "Chime" similar to seat belt reminder.
Last night i was parked in my garage and the rear PDC's were emitting the tone whilst I was in reverse.  MY15

Having only had my car for 5 days I'm still exploring what it has. Mine already seems to have some of the stuff activated. e.g. I've just tried the video and it plays a DVD fine in the slot under the clock. Obviously different stuff activated for different markets.
It doesn't have the "Follow me home" rear lights activation which I'd be interested in having as I always park rear towards my front door. I'd also like to have more info about the 4x4i when you've figured it out. Sounds interesting if it really doesn't require any extra parts.
