United Kingdom 2015 Freelander 2 SD4 SE Auto Orkney Grey
Moles

Pulled back the curtains last week and there it was a bloody mole hill the size of a football in the middle of the lawn. This was followed up over the next few days by 3 more so off to the farm shop for a mole trap. Pleased to report that the little Censored is now no more and I just hope he was a solitary intruder.

Must be in the genes cos my great grandfather was a rabbit and mole catcher for a big estate in Herefordshire. MY 09 GS manual in Lago Grey, Wood Co arm rest and side bumper strips - now sold.

Just amazing the amount of damage they can do - read somewhere that they can burrow 17ft every hour if the mood takes them. MY 09 GS manual in Lago Grey, Wood Co arm rest and side bumper strips - now sold.

There's only one way to get rid of a mole..... Common sense isn't very common.

In my experience you never really get rid of them. It will not be solitary and others will follow. On the positive side once the tunnels are established they seem to stick to those rather than making new. What I found was that moss followed. Is that a direct result of less worms? Spent many hours sat on a deck chair shovel in hand. The sonic things do not work - they just push them out. Silver 2009 HSE

An old sage told me that they are solitary animals and by stuffing the corpse into the run it will decompose and detract from new moles colonising the territory, I hope so - regrettably Martyns Water Hen Bloa spiders ain't going to happen Laughing MY 09 GS manual in Lago Grey, Wood Co arm rest and side bumper strips - now sold.
