I set up my old Toyo view camera for my niece a few years ago. She could not get her head around how people could use the things. I explained it is how we see & our brains are turning everything around. When I get those pesky calls trying to flog off a mobile phone and they get onto the in-built camera...... I explain I am quite happy with my camera explaining the practicalities & technical features of my 5x4 view camera and how quickly you load film in the darkroom etc etc, one can go on forever on the subject wasting as much of their time as possible!
