I use a Nanocom Evolution along with it's dedicated web site for CCF editing, also very useful for reading and clearing fault codes.

Don't forget that whatever you add to a car makes zero difference to it's resale value. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

I got this one http://www.cardiag.co.uk/jlr-for-jaguar-and-land-rover-984.html for 35€ and it's done everything I wanted on both my FreeLander and Jaguar including software updates and CCF edits. |

Good luck with it, there are other versions of the software kicking around the internet if you need them.

I was trying to work out if it does or not does not update online once you load the discs as the Q&A takes some deciphering. So you buy it, load discs but then it implied not to run with WiFi connected, or was something missing in translation from Mandarin ? How easy is it to re-set the service indicators, yes both, miles and DPF ? FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years FL2 MY13 TD4 GS Current |

I think it depends on the software version but if I remember correctly, with the version that came with it, you don't let it try to update after installing (turn the wi-fi off) .

From the page above
What does this mean exactly? Is coding the same as CCF edit? |

Not sure, as I said it's done everything I wanted, it read and reset stored codes, allowed me to change info display language and units, installed alex_pescaru's auto gearbox display etc. It also did a software update on my Jaguar. EDIT That was using V130 of the SDD software, which I found somewhere on the interweb. Last edited by Still Lost in France on 7th Feb 2017 11:18 am. Edited 1 time in total |
