I had a 2010 HSE in black like yours. I tried fitting LED side bulbs, number plate lights and reversing lights but every time they were on they knocked out the DAB completely and caused interference through the speakers. Plus the sidelights flickered. Bulbs were bought from a reputable supplier and were tried and tested so good quality.

Just be wary of any interferences from upgrading electrical items before shelling out £100's on new light units etc.

Hopefully it works ok on yours as standard halogen are shocking

I use a Nanocom Evolution along with it's dedicated web site for CCF editing, also very useful for reading and clearing fault codes.

I got mine a few years ago for the Disco 3 I had at the time, then added the extra license for FL2 and Defender. Thumbs Up

Don't forget that whatever you add to a car makes zero difference to it's resale value. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto
5 x FL2 4 manual + 1 auto

I got this one http://www.cardiag.co.uk/jlr-for-jaguar-and-land-rover-984.html for 35€ and it's done everything I wanted on both my FreeLander and Jaguar including software updates and CCF edits.

Good luck with it, there are other versions of the software kicking around the internet if you need them.

I don't find the software very intuitive but there are guides around if you need them

I was trying to work out if it does or not does not update online once you load the discs as the Q&A takes some deciphering.

So you buy it, load discs but then it implied not to run with WiFi connected, or was something missing in translation from Mandarin ?

How easy is it to re-set the service indicators, yes both, miles and DPF ? FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years
FL2 MY13 TD4 GS Current

I think it depends on the software version but if I remember correctly, with the version that came with it, you don't let it try to update after installing (turn the wi-fi off) .

You reset the service indicator in the 'Service functions' option but you can do that from the trip meter anyway, which is probably easier.

Don't know about the DPF but I thought that indicated based upon sensor readings rather than miles or time.

From the page above

This cable not support offline program,if you have online ID and password, you can do coding

What does this mean exactly? Is coding the same as CCF edit?

Not sure, as I said it's done everything I wanted, it read and reset stored codes, allowed me to change info display language and units, installed alex_pescaru's auto gearbox display etc.

It also did a software update on my Jaguar.

EDIT
That was using V130 of the SDD software, which I found somewhere on the interweb.
