That's a very good price, I bought one 3 years ago for £135. I found a supplier that charged £70 for the battery but would only sell to trade which shows how much retailers can make on a Battery! Black MY2013 SD4 GS Auto, Wood Company Armrest, Freel2 sticker.

Cheapest price I can see for a Varta Agm battery with a Varta sticker is around the £125 mark. There is NO WAY someone could supply a genuine one for £65 (OR BEST OFFER!!). The one I assume the OP is referring to doesn't even have a proper Varta sticker on it even though Varta stickers are easily obtainable if you were that way inclined and I know a few retailers that are! It has 'Varta' in small wording on the top plus there appears to be some text that has been tippexed out. Why? Be very aware, you know the saying - if it seems too cheap to be true........ Sorry gasman, I wasn't doubting your intentions to help others out for one minute but there are some very dodgy sellers out there selling counterfeit goods. Any idea why labels are tippexed out? Surely they would command a premium price with JLR branding on them?

The label generally is immaterial, the casing moulding is a more genuine guide, batteries as everything else depends on cost, more expensive longer warranty is most likely the same as the cheap one, the cost depends on the reliability of the supplied unit, you may be lucky and buy a cheap one that lasts for years, you may buy an expensive one that fails under warranty at least twice, OK if the vendor is still about to honour the warranty my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

This has scam written all over it, it's impossible to send a battery via any means for £7.50 for a start. (scuse pun)

I'm not sure you can state it's a scam due to the postage cost, businesses can send things via couriers far cheaper than I can ever get quotes for and there is a large number of people selling car batteries on ebay with free postage, I've never been able to send anything for free before so surely these must be dodgy!!!! 2007 TD4 XS Manual in Sumatra Black |

eBay ... tippexed out logo's and cheap postage ... silly me, course it's legit, they have over 600 sales and no doubt paid all their taxes too, I do apologise. |
