United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Stornoway Grey

Re the last few replies, great info, exactly what I would expect, that is the mixture of diesel/petrol WILL find another use. It will NOT be poured down the drain, which is what the MPD folks are implying .... as I said the MPD claims are .... lets just say a little unrealistic ... Stornoway Grey GS ... What a fine motor Smile ... but not any more ... Big Cry ... psst look at my gallery!

Sad to say I have mis-fueled my previous 05 Freelander and trust me it was avery easy mistake. The garage is about 300 yards from my house and I use it a lot for fuel but I still managed to put in unleaded. I was lucky when I went to pay the girl at the desk said petrol and I said no deisel that was when she informed me that I had fueled up with petrol. Embarassed It cost me £450.00 Big Cry from my local dealer to have th tank drained.

The dealer told me a story of one customer who had bought a new car and when the tank was empty she filled it up with pertol and destroyed the engine. At the time Freelanders were just out and it took 6 weeks to get the necessary spares to repair the engine. After collecting her car from the dealer after the reapirs were done she repeated the mistake only this time the insurance company refused to pay out resulting in a hugh bill. Big Cry
Ouch!!
