Thinking of buying a Range Rover 2.7 HSE Sport.

Hi. I know my request could be considered irreverent and no offence meant, but I am looking for any advice as to where I should look for a second hand vehicle in the £15000 bracket.
Much as I love my Freelander I have always wanted a Range Rover.
I have posted on here as I was impressed with the help that I have received previously.

good cars , I bought a used one at 22000 miles 4 years later its now on 80,000+ had some brakes including a caliper and once had an EGR problem about 300 to fix

mines not HSE but a special edition with leather seats but not much else, so less to go wrong?

not as bad on fuel as expected but far from good.

I reckon its been better value than a choosing a new fl2 at the time (similar money), A big bonus over recent winters has been the adjustable ride height, weve had a lot of floods and cant go far locally without some serious fording. many cars have drowned but our motor has gone through the lot. At work

Take a look on www.rrsport.co.uk as sometimes members selling and you may pick up a cherished example Thumbs Up

Seriously consider a warranty or have money available for repairs as when they go wrong it can cost £1000s Big Cry

If you can stretch the budget look for a 3.0 MY10 + as they're much better than the 2.7s Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Still hoping for a S2 one day!

As you well know I towed vans CG and I didn't have any issues - in fact I bought RRS for towing Bow down

The people I know who had £9-12k repair bills didn't tow Wink Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

how far can you tow with the battery bushi?

my cousins D4 recently blew up a gearbox, something like £9k to replace, he got a recon box fitted for about £3500. its now been sold.

this is what towing will do to a vehicle, slightly exaggerated Rolling Eyes
