Hi I have a freelander Xei 1800 petrol 2005 and the engine light has come on, I checked oil, water (which it needed) but the light remained on. Any advice on switching it off would be appreciated?

Get the codes read to help determine what put it on in the first place. Maybe a Freelander 1 forum may provide more assistance although I am sure many of our members previously had the Freelander 1 so may be along to help once we know what your fault codes are.
