Garage has called. Apparently it needed a software update. Some LR bulletin which the update resolves. £120 for the update. Can't argue if that's the case FL2 TD4 GS 60 reg Facelift - so many issues

Personally I'd be surprised if they did. The update plus the service and MOT is still cheaper than my local LR dealer was quoting for service alone. FL2 TD4 GS 60 reg Facelift - so many issues

We had REP when our 2011 SD4 was half a year old. At the time it took a few visits to the dealer and a new DPF sensor to fix and it's had been fine up until 2 weeks ago.

Only way Independent or dealer will know there is an update is if they have read SDD releases (& have access) from Topix (doubtful) or there is a problem code with a module and when going through the diagnosis process there is a module update listed as part of the resolution process. If there is any software update available and there is no present DTC's then i'm guessing no dealer or independent will be bothered looking. I know currently there is an update available for my PAM........my car just had second service by my supplying Land Rover dealer.....no mention of updating my PAM.......what do you think I know they connected to SDD as my "Service Required" message has been reset.....I rest my case MY15 Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) Surround Camera System InControl Apps soon to be replaced with CarPlay (WIP) Meridian Premium Surround Sound Digital Audio Broadcast Timed Climate Cruise ECO Data Follow Me Home Reverse Extra Features Menu Picture In Motion 4x4i screen (WIP) Digital Broadcast TV Meridian Rear Media with WIFI Factory Powered Tailgate Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM) Reverse Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) Electrochromatic Wing Mirrors (WIP) Last edited by Stuartc on 31st Jan 2017 9:10 am. RogB, what the dealer "should do" and what 'they do" are two different things. Im sure there may be a few good ones out there and if you are lucky to find one then you should really count yourself lucky.
