Funnily enough, many years ago when we got our first desktop computer (16mb memory as I recall)
as we marvelled at the internet and being curious, my wife typed in "nasal hair!" for some reason.

My rather unworldly Head of Classics colleague once typed "Goths" into a search engine and was (quite agreeably) surprised. Alas schools have filters to stop that sort of accident nowadays. Ex AA Series III LWB Safari - Gone
300TDi Disco (bought new - terrible car) sent back after 18 months
Freelander 1 Estate - leased, given back at end of lease
200TDi Disco (bought from a mate with 100,000 on the clock) - Gone
Disco 2 TD5 - sold and exported to France
FR2 TD4 GS - Gone
FR2 SD4 HSE - Now changed for a DS
New model ex-demo Evoque S 180 in white
Unable to order a new DS, so gave up. Now have a Volvo S90 Recharge.

Perhaps a silly question but can you balance wheels "in situ" if it's an Automatic?

Would not think that this would be a good idea as to balance correctly the wheels would need to be spun up to the equivalent of 60/70 mph.
Do not think this would do the auto transmission any good at all.

As I stated in my earlier post the main problem with my car was the tracking which was done immediately after fitting and balancing General Grabber AT tyres. I have also found that tyre pressures are important.

All the above work was done some 15k miles ago and everything still OK.

As a matter of interest the tyres have done some 25k miles and still have approx. 5/6 mm tread.

It's a valid point that needs a proper answer but provided it has no ill effect on the 4X4 system I would have thought that with the engine running and box in N, which would mean the auto box was being lubricated by it's internal oil pump, then it may be possible. I'm sure a specialist such as the one I posted a link for would know if asked Question

That's if you still have the issue of course Question 2007 TD4 XS The work horse that earns its up keep
2013 SD4 HSE The posh one for towing the caravan
1973 Triumph Stag I bought in 2009 and restored.

I happen to life in the "Dutch Highlands" , about 19m above sealevel... Laughing ,

If you raise the sealevel with 70m, this is what remains dry... Shocked

Rolling with laughter The good news and the bad news.

I would be able to walk 2 minutes and get myself a Cod from our village house just outside Leeds. Thats the good news.

A cottage I have been renovating in the Wolds will need a ferry to get there. Laughing FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

Well, easy solution : buy a boat on a trailer, as long as the "tide" is out you drive it on road, and when the islands become more numerous and the continents smaller, you"ll have your private Ark... Mr. Green [ Freelander 2 TD4e MY10 Sport manual. SVR badge engineered ] SOLD

Well!
I wasn't wrong.
Drivers door actuator now developed intermittent fault, have sprayed with WD40, still sometimes works, sometimes not.
Boot door troubles itself to latch all of a sudden.
going to have to go into dealer soonest to have these faults rectified, warranty still in force.
what's next I wonder, slippery slope methinks!!!! Censored Censored Censored Censored Hit it he said, Hit it!--So I hit it, then he hit me---Doh!
