HDC and other faults after carpet removal

My wife mainly uses the FL for the school runs and to run her errands, thus the interior ended up looking filthy. I removed the seats, carpets and all the trim panels and cleaned them properly.

Once reassembled(and no 'extra' spares parts left) I started the car and it gave the HDC not functioning message. The ABS and two other orange lights is also on. Also Terrain selection not functioning warning.

I pulled all plugs from the CJB and sprayed them with electrical cleaner in the faint hope of curing the gear selection/idling issue: http://www.freel2.com/forum/topic24660.html

I even pulled the plugs again and reset them on advice from my indie.

The plug to the Terrain Selection unit is plugged in.

Any idea if I missed a plug sonewhere or does it need a computer to reset it?

I had that problem after I had mine in bits and it was the Terrain Selection switch plug not seating correctly.

Good luck! Is the car at least drivable?

Still drives around with it just the error message.

Have spoken to my indie. When I have a moment spare I will pop in and run diagnostics.

Ok then, diagnostics show 'lost communication with Multi Axis sensor'.

Thus, out comes the seats and front carpet(again!!!!) to locate this sensor which should be in the centre of the vehicle and look for a plug that needs plugging in...

If that error is thrown by the ABS system, then the connector you are looking for is below the terrain response module.
So no need to take out the seats again.... Laughing
