FITTING A CLUTCH PEDAL INHIBITOR SWITCH

anyone fitted one of the above please,a friend has had issues with starting his xs/e manual.this seems to be the poss cause so how easy or not to do.

Never done one but looking at pictures of them online, they just seem like a brake light switch and looks like they just clip in/on to the pedal bracket. I had an after market hydraulic switch on the clutch of my Peugeot 504, about 1980. if one pressed the clutch once it disengaged permanently, if you destroyed the switch, hydraulic fluid leaked, still no functioning clutch! Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

thanks guys,his fl2 is fine at the moment,but you never know when it decides its not going to start Big Cry .this seems to be a fairly common issue so we were thinking this is the cheapest start point to try and solve it,i agree it does look a simple device,will have a look around the clutch pedal to locate it.

update on above.well hopefully it is solved,local garage put their reader on the car cleared some stuff off checked the clutch pedal switch cleaned various connections/earths etc,then fitted new agm 85ah 800cca battery and it has been fine for the last 3 weeks.fingers crossed. Whistle
