The dual mass flywheel has a wear tolerance if it's within that should be ok to go again! |

There is a belief that the dual mass flywheel is the weak point in the failing of the clutch, so I would replace both. |

I saw a post whether here or another forum that said that the DMF on cars from MY2010 was stronger than earlier cars due to stop/start and there have been less failures. Perhaps those with post MY 2010 can comment on failures if any my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

You will save a good chunk of money fitting a solid state flywheel kit. only thing is you will almost certainly have to source it yourself. Or even sourcing your own parts |

Trav when you possibly find time maybe you can put up a parts list and where you get yours from. Please |

Euro Car Parts discount code JANSALE A grand total of £435.81 for a Luk (I am sure we will all agree a very repeatable brand) for a dual mass flywheel and tree piece clutch kit. Now before you go writing it off saying "its not LR Genuine parts" Stop to think..... Its a 2008 with 108k on the clock! Is there a need for genuine parts? Sensors and other electrical components i fully agree always worth sticking with land rover dealership. However other mechanical components and the likes of a repeatable brand is more that sufficient! |
